“Looking back at pics from just a few months ago reminds me of the hard work I have put in and the encouragement my CF family has put into my goals as well! I know now it is a lifestyle change and it takes nothing but HARD WORK and DISCIPLINE! Yep people hate to hear that but it’s true and I like that fact, because the reward is far greater than just quick fix diet pill or starving yourself ( if you know me that’s not happening). So with that I am pleased to say I am part of a fit family at COMPASS!” – Lorie Estorga 07/07/13

“I know I posted 4 months ago but I wanted to do a follow up… If you told me 6 months ago that at age 38 I would weigh what I weighed when I was 21, (I’d think it was a nice dream) but I wouldn’t have believed you. This weight loss was not all about the “looks” although it is a nice “side-effect”. There’s so much more to it…It was a lifestyle change. What Compass CrossFit has done for me: 1. It has made me healthier! For the last 16-17 years I had been on high-blood pressure medication. In 2 months of CrossFit, I was able to beginning weaning off it and I no longer have to take HBP medication 🙂 2. It has given Gregory Arriaga & I something to “connect” with that is “ours”. Our boys have been our focus for so many years and continue to be however, we now make it a point to take time for us. Our hobby, past time, & entertainment consists largely of CrossFit training 🙂 3. It has brought wonderful people into our lives. The friends we have made through Compass CrossFit & Compass CrossFit Chicks have become a large part of our lives. They have similar goals, healthy goals & are such a motivation! We feel truly blessed to have found this box to be a part of. 4. It has sparked our love of sports! Greg & I are beginning to participate in sports like we used to in the past. We have started playing soccer, volleyball, and running…we look forward to other sports as well! 5. It has strengthened my confidence. I have achieved things in CrossFit that I never knew were possible. Personal records, skills, etc. I had no clue that I could lift weights! I have never in my life felt this healthy. I have been this thin before, but now I also have muscles! When you put in the hard work in training, it’s easier to eat cleaner because it makes you think twice before picking up that temptation. I could go on and on but I won’t make you suffer through that 🙂 I just wanted to thank my CrossFit family, I also, I wanted to tell you (reading this post) that you can do it too!” – Cynthia Arriaga 6/14/13

“Going to Compass CrossFit has shown me that I’m a lot tougher than I thought I was. And I don’t necessarily mean physically as a lot of it has been a mental challenge as well. All the trainers there are great and want to see you succeed and keep you going no matter how hard the workout.” – Jason Riebe 5/27/13

“Wow what can I say this has been one of the best times in my life! With you guys support it makes it fun and easy to get up and make the effort! Thanks to you guys my motivation has not lapsed after Jan 31! Like most New Year’s resolutions tend to dwindle at this point my desire is so much more than when I started! Thanks!” – Lorie Estorga 02/23/13

“I have been an athlete at Compass CrossFit since they opened their doors. This is my story… I had just spent a year and a half having problems with knee injury problems. In that year and a half , I had four surgeries and spent 36 weeks on crutches. In that memory of my life I spent over 6 months in Physical Therapy to try rehab my knee. In the process my left leg muscles had dwindled to nothing and my weight rose to 240 lbs. Knowing that I needed to take some weight off , my wife Jami and I joined a gym. We went on 3 day a week schedule. This became very boring to me therefore no results. Tim and Randi invited us to join them at Compass CrossFit, wow talk about intimidation. First thought was I am 46 years old, have not worked out in almost 30 year I can’t do CrossFit. I made the commitment to try it. Best decision I have ever made for myself. In my journey I reduced my weight from 240 lbs. to under 190lbs,my jeans size went from 35 to 31,and shirt size from XL to M. If your considering a life changing experience give Compass CrossFit a call.” – Geron Jeffcoat 2/23/13
