![Christopher Scott "Chris" Kyle (April 8, 1974 – February 2, 2013) was a United States Navy SEAL who claimed to be the most lethal sniper in American military history with 160 "confirmed" kills out of 255 claimed kills. This figure, however, has not been corroborated by the Department of Defense, U.S. Special Operations Command, or the U.S. Navy Special Warfare Command, as such numbers are not tracked or managed under any official procedure. Kyle's claims are instead thought to be based on individual shooter logs not subject to verification or legal discovery. [7][4][8] Kyle served four tours in the Iraq War and was awarded several commendations for acts of heroism and meritorious service in combat. He received two Silver Star Medals, five Bronze Star Medals, one Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals. He was awarded the Grateful Nation Award by the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs.[9] Kyle claimed that Iraqi insurgents dubbed him the "Devil of Ramadi" and placed a bounty for his head. He was wounded twice, and was involved in six IED attacks.[10] Kyle was honorably discharged from the US Navy in 2009. He remained in the spotlight after leaving the Navy and wrote a New York Times bestselling autobiography, American Sniper. Kyle was shot and killed at a shooting range on February 2, 2013, near Chalk Mountain, Texas. The man accused of killing him is awaiting trial for murder.](http://compasscrossfit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/The-Legend.png)

STATE OF THE CAMPAIGN
Forged was founded in 2007, and began making a name for itself by selling a single t-shirt to help raise funds for a mortally injured Teammate who required financial assistance through his recovery process. If you did not know this, THAT is how Forged began.
In light of recent events involving a sucker punch (court settlement) to the face of Taya Kyle, widow of the late Chris Kyle (American Sniper), Forged has made it a priority to offset the financial burden that she and her family are now faced with, as a result of ignorant pride.
The goal is to raise $1MM for the Kyle Estate. Forged® is coming to the aid of Taya Kyle and her estate based on principle and values. We can assure you that if a settlement does not come or ends up being less than the amount of funds raised, the Chris Kyle Memorial Trust will be the primary beneficiary of these funds..
HOW CAN YOU HELP
We’re going to rely heavily on you to help reach out fundraising goal of $1 MM. We’re asking you to reach out to your friends and family in hope that we can push through our fundraising goal by midnight of August 15. Thank You once again for your support!
